Class #1 GE Jack Welch
I'm big fun of Jack as you see my comments in Jeff Immelt session. We study by seeing video from 1981 every 5 yeas of his leadership transformation. Over 30 more years, Harvard Business Schools have been walk along with him.

クラス１　GE　ジャック　ウェルチ
彼の大ファンです。1981年から5年後との彼のAMPでのレクチャーを見ていきます。30年以上もHBSは彼と共に歩んできたのですね。

Class #2 Netflix vs Blockbuster
They we do marketing and collect customer voices, we ask to our customers like focus group. But those opinions are often biased.

クラス２　NetflixとBlockbuster
マーケティングを行い、顧客の声を聞く。例えばフォーカスグループなど。
でも意見は偏っているのです。

This is story when WWII. America tried to improve the aircraft and investigated the returned plane, looked for the weak points. But they were wrong. They should have investigate the planes which never came back. The importance of capability for reinvent business in this rapid changing world.

これは第二次世界大戦のお話。アメリカが飛行機を改良しようと帰ってきた機体を調査しました。弱いところを見つけるために。間違いがあります。もうお分かりですね。彼からは帰ってきた機体ではなく、帰ってこなかった機体を調べるべきだったのです。この急速に変化する現代でも重要な視点です。

The legend of leadership, Jack Welch. I dreamed to see him for a long long time.
I read his following books. One of the books CEOs must read.

リーダーシップの伝説、ジャック　ウェルチ。彼に会うことをどれほど長く待ったことでしょう。私が読んだ本はこちら。CEOの必読書です。



He is 81 years old now, but I see strong will in his eyes.
彼は81歳だそう。でも目力すごいです。

The team wins which has best players. Spent his 70% of his time on people.

最良の選手がいるチームが勝つ。70%の時間を人材開発に充てたといいます。

The very memorable moment was, we did in the class that we play a role of Jack and manager who achieved his number goals and Jack fired him. We didn't do well in class.

忘れられないのが、クラスの中で業績を残したマネジャー役とジャックウェルチ役で、ジャックがマネジャーをクビにしようとしますが、うまくできません。

Jack showed us how he did.
"I told you five times, still you didn't listen!"

本人がやってくれました。
”これ言うの5回目でしょ、まだ聞かないんだから”

Leader's obligation is to to let them know where they stand.

リーダーの義務は部下達がいま自分がどこにいるのかを分からせることだとおっしゃいました。

Some classmate asked one thing he proud of and regret the most. "I"m proud of generated many CEOs and 200 millionaires by stock options. Regret?
How the hell I felt regret! I came from nothing. Came from the lowest to be the CEO of GE. A lot of luck. I just wanted to win as my mother told me so long time ago"

クラスメートの誰かが、一番誇りに思うことと、一番後悔したことを聞きました。
”私が誇りに思うのは、たくさんのCEOを排出したこと、200人を超える億万長者を出したこと”　”後悔？後悔なんてあるわけない。何もないところから始めたのだから。最下層からGEのCEOになれた。たくさんの幸運に恵まれました。私はただ勝ち続けたのです。ずいぶん昔にお母さんに言われたようにね”

For me, "Neutron Jack" is the man who had a strong will to win and loved the company and employee so much.

私には”ニュートロンジャック”は価値にこだわり、そして誰よりも会社を愛し、従業員を愛した男に思えます。

Today is last personal coaching session in the night. So set destination and started jogging. Where it is?

At age of 18, I made up my mind to go to US to study music if I couldn't get in the national University. Ended up going for university. Still sometimes I think if I chose that life, what am I doing now? How is my life like?

Life is consist of a pile of hair splitting decisions. We all made some decisions today, which lead us to our future. Harvad vs Berklee. I made good decisions? Who knows!

But I can say, I probably like both the long and winding roads. And I am probably making efforts everyday anyway.

18歳の時、もし大学に受からなければ、音楽を勉強しにアメリカに行く決意をしました。結果、大学に受かりました。今でも時々思います、もしあの時音楽をやっていたら、人生どうなっていたのだろうと。

人生はこのような紙一重の決断の連続です。今日何かしらの決断をし、それがハーバードかバークリーかを分かつ。今日は良い決断をしただろうか？誰にも分かりません。

ただ、僕が言えるのは、どちらの長く曲がりくねった大変な道も好きなんだろうなということ。どっちの道を進んでも努力は続けたのだろうなということです。
